Schuyler Emergency Medical Services (SEMS), a trusted and vital part of the community, is now operating under a new name: Centralus Health EMS.
The updated name and visual identity reflect the affiliation of Arnot Health and Cayuga Health that created the Centralus Health system in January, while reaffirming the same strong commitment to delivering exceptional emergency care.
Founded in 2023 through a contract between Cayuga Health and Schuyler County, the EMS service provides 24/7 emergency medical response for the Schuyler County area. The service plays a critical role in providing pre-hospital care, safely transporting patients to appropriate facilities, and responding to emergencies in both rural and residential communities.
The rebranding includes new ambulance graphics that prominently display the Centralus Health EMS name and logo, but all other operations remain the same.
“While our ambulances will now carry the Centralus Health name and a new look, nothing else is changing. Our dedicated EMS team will continue to provide the same high-quality, timely care that our community relies on,” said Scott Lyerla, MSN, RN, Senior Director, Clinical Operations & Emergency Services. “This rebrand simply reflects the unity and strength of our health system while preserving the excellent service our patients expect.”
The change aligns with ongoing efforts to unify services and strengthen access to care across the Centralus Health network. By bringing together the capabilities and resources of Arnot Health and Cayuga Health, Centralus Health is building a more integrated, patient-centered system while continuing to serve each local community with compassion and expertise.
