Centralus Health, an affiliation of two community-based systems — Arnot Health and Cayuga Health — is proud to introduce Eric Choi, MD, a board-certified vascular surgeon who will serve patients at both organizations.
Dr. Choi completed his residency and fellowship with Barnes Jewish Hospital / Washington University School of Medicine. His areas of special interest include carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and peripheral artery disease in the legs.
As the first physician specifically recruited by Centralus Health to care for patients at both Arnot and Cayuga in the communities they serve, Dr Choi brings both a wealth of experience as a vascular surgeon as well as an impressive list of leadership experience. Dr Choi will offer the full spectrum of vascular care throughout the region. Examples would be patients requiring special procedures to allow access for dialysis as well as patients with diminished circulation to their extremities who need either catheter interventions or operative procedures to improve their circulations.
“Dr. Choi joining Centralus Health is an example of how the affiliation of these organizations can provide even more and improved care to our community,” said Steven Heneghan, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Arnot Health. “While Cayuga Medical Center has had the ability to treat vascular problems, the addition of a vascular surgeon at Cayuga Medical Center further enhances the capabilities of the team of specialists working together to improve the vascular health of the Ithaca and surrounding communities.”
Appointments with Dr. Choi are by referral and can be made by contacting your primary care provider.
