Arnot Ogden Medical Center, a member of Centralus Health, has been designated as an ACR Prostate Cancer MRI Center by the American College of Radiology (ACR), completing the facility’s full portfolio of ACR certifications across its medical imaging services.

This designation confirms that Arnot’s prostate MRI program meets the ACR’s rigorous national standards for image quality, safety protocols, equipment performance, and clinical expertise. By meeting these benchmarks, Arnot ensures patients receive highly detailed imaging that supports earlier detection and more precise diagnosis of prostate cancer — critical factors in developing effective, personalized treatment plans.

Prostate MRI plays an increasingly important role in modern cancer care, allowing physicians to identify suspicious areas with greater accuracy and guide targeted biopsies when necessary. With advanced imaging capabilities, clinicians are better equipped to detect cancer at earlier stages, monitor disease progression, and help patients make more informed decisions about their care.

Toni Brotz, CRA, MS, RT(R) CT, Senior Director of Medical Imaging for Centralus Health, said the recognition reflects the organization’s commitment to innovation and high-quality patient care.

“Achieving this recognition reflects our ongoing investment in advanced imaging technology, including DynaCAD and UroNav, as well as our team’s specialized training and commitment to exceptional patient care,” Brotz said. “This designation demonstrates the expertise of our imaging professionals and reinforces our commitment to delivering the highest standard of diagnostic services to the communities we serve.”

Notably, Arnot Ogden Medical Center is among a very small number of facilities in Upstate New York and neighboring Northeast Pennsylvania to receive the ACR Prostate Cancer MRI Center designation. The recognition underscores Arnot’s role as a regional leader in advanced imaging and cancer diagnostics, ensuring patients have access to nationally recognized, high-quality care close to home.
