Mammography
The best defense against some of today’s most deadly diseases lies in early detection. Centralus Health is an accredited facility that performs advanced 3D Mammography, which offers more accurate and earlier breast cancer detection. Radiologists can often read your images the same day, or while you wait.
During a mammogram, your breasts are compressed between two firm surfaces to spread out the breast tissue. Then an X-ray captures black-and-white images that are displayed on a computer screen and examined for signs of cancer.
Mammograms play a key role in breast cancer screening. They can detect breast cancer before it causes signs and symptoms. Mammograms have been shown to reduce the risk of dying of breast cancer.
The entire procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes. Afterward, you may dress and resume your usual activities.

Oncology
Tremendous strides have been made in the treatment of breast cancer. The treatment choice is guided primarily by the stage of the cancer, but there are also personal considerations for each patient. In addition to learning as much as you can about your treatment options, you may want to seek a second medical opinion or attend one of our support groups to talk to women who have already undergone these treatments.
Once you have been diagnosed, we will help you work with our cancer treatment centers to understand your treatment options. There are medical, radiation and surgical options, such as Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, Hormone Therapy, Mastectomy, Lumpectomy and Reconstructive Surgery. Our board-certified surgeons are trained in tissue-preserving breast cancer surgery and plastic reconstructive surgery to improve physical function and minimize disfigurement or scarring.
